Why is the EC light on and wont go off? No cold air is blowing from the AC.
You'll need to take it to find out why the light is on... If it's like the e classes there are over a dozen reasons the light could be on, and without knowing the code/reason for the error no one can really make an intelligent guess at how to fix the problem.
My money is on Error B1241 - Refrigerant Low...
Post back an let us know what's up.
thats the economy mode for the AC controls it really doesn't blow cold cold air mearely keeps the ca a gentle cool. No cold air could be a vacuum solenoid pump that could have sprunt a leak and is now not actualting a lever behind the dash. I had a solenoid fail on the aif recirculation panel which made the car use out side air 100% of the time but not anymore since I replaced the part
there is either low refrigerant level in the ac system also there was a service bulletin for the s classes foe the same complaint u r mentioning theres a fault code stored for the ac refriderant pressure sensor.
