1997 Class-C Mercedes Benz - Engine problems?

The car will start shaking because of the engine and the check engine light will turn on. When I turn it off
and turn it on again, it's fine, but I took it in to the dealer's and they said it was bad gas. I put plus gas
into the car already. And it's continuing to shake randomly. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
