The SRS default appears on the screen of my E270 cdi Avante garde intermittently telling me to go to the workshop. How can I trace the fault without going to the garage?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the seat belts and the airbags have never been deployed
but this SRS default has been coming on and off for months now.  Car has passed MOT and has no other
faults that I am aware of.  Any help would be great !
Thanks Dawn x

one of your air bag{ srs } sustem there is a number of parts like seat occupency swith, clock spring wire in steering column air bags and seat belt tensioner that can go bad or have to much resistance that well trigger a fault or part time fault, light on and off best is to have a competent MB technician sort it out good luck
