Rear doors and trunk lock and unlock with remote, The front doors won't.lock or unlock .

Either the door solenoid is not getting the signal or they are broke. Remove the door panel. Check the voltage going to the solenoid. A common problem with older cars is that the wires in the rubber conduit down by the hinges break from use. --- If yours are broken, pull in two wires. Splice one wire at both ends of the conduit. The other wire is your spare that is used to pull in two new wires next time a wire breaks.

My 2001 S60 gas door has locked and it has never happened before. I have had the car for 2 years and I have always just been able to open with my hand. I have read the manual and tried to lock and unlock with the remote. Is there a pull cord in the trunk that someone knows of that can open the door? I tried to look in the trunk on the side where the gas tank is and couldnt seem to locate. 1 answer
