TRANS FAULT ON DASH, DIAGNOSTIC SOWED IMPROPER GEAR RATIO
AFTER DRIVING 150 MILES,100 WITH TRANS FAULT INDICATION. CAR ACTED LIKE IT WENT INTO NUTRAL. IF CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED IT WOULD GO BACK INTO DRIVE AND ACCELERATE TO 65 AND THEN DO THE NUTRAL THING AGAIN. FINALLY WOULD NOT MOVE ANY MORE. NO FLUID LEAKS OR ABNORMAL TEMPS.
Sounds like either a valve body problem or a problem with the wiring to the trans solenoids. Improper gear ratio means the trans control module doesn't recognize the input it's getting back from the sensors in the trans. You will need to have this checked by a mechanic to determine the cause.
