I have a rubbing noise that sounds as if a tire is rubbing against something when cold. The dealership states I need a brand new transmission. 75,000 miles on a 04 x-type. Is this possible??

its probbly yr fender inner liner , if not check yr differential fluid , maybe its time to change em .I did it around 80 k just as precaution flushed and changed wth royal purple
