I tried to find an online manual to show me which fuse it is but I couldn't find one. If you go to an autostore and look up a Chilton of Haynes manual there will be a fuse box diagram. Also you can usually get them from the local library.

well if you have a gm vehicle go to http://www.mygmlink.com, sign up your car, then when your done signing up you will have your own page, on the left side it will say glove box, click on it, then it has the owners manual online...i just discovered this tonight, my lighter went out too, i have a pontiac 2001, and the fuse is located in the engine compartment fuse block near the battery, its a mini fuse #34. good luck.
