I am experiencing 7.7 mpg or less in the city, any ideas if this is normal or not and what
are the causes if its not normal.

i only drive in the city and for short trips.

engine size 5.7 Hemi , 4X2 , automatic transmission axle ratios how do i know this? thank you for your response

I also have a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT 4X4 (with 136K miles) and are getting 6 to 7 mpg city mileage. I read on a Dodge site this model should be getting 12 mpg city 17 mpg highway. I'm assuming this is for mileage in the 2wd setting. What could be causing this? Is it possible that I could be stuck in 4wd (hi or low) with the indicator showing I'm in 2wd (I just got it a short while back)? Thank you.
