Hi dwa512,

I found the following link that should be able to help you decide what type of exhaust brake you need for your vehicle and driving conditions.

Good luck!

Cummins never made a 6.3L engine, the Dodge Rams had a 5.9L from 89-2006, your truck should be a common rail injection 5.9L. Look up a Pac Brake and people that sell them/install them.

That is correct, Dodge never did make a 6.3 cummins. however, the 3500's in 2006 did have the option of the 6.7L Cummins.

Jake Brake for 5.9L Cummins: $799 - $1499

Jake Brake for 6.7L Cummins: $1199 - $2699

that's the prices i have seen lately (actually looking for one myself...i have a 96 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins...i love it) but there could be cheaper ones out there.
