2005 buick rendezvous

I just got this little truck but, the temperature stays
going crazy .
I let it heat up a little before driving off but when
im driving or the truck is on & on park. the
temperature starts going up doesnt go all the way
to the the " h " but then drops & while driving too
its always up and down ... is that normal

I would change out the thermostat and refill with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze. But you need to make sure the air pockets are purged from the cooling system when refilling.
