My truck runs fine in park, neutral, or reverse, but dies when put in drive. Why?

My 2000 F-150 5.4 auto will run fine in park or reverse, but dies in drive. Why?

You may have a tranny issue tc. Check the fluid level on your tranny. If it's low them fill to the proper level and see it it relieves the issue. If it does, try to find the leak and get it taken care of, If it doesn't you will probably need to seek professional help. Good luck!
