my left turn signal speeds up when I engage the head lights

You have a bulb that's dead or about to die. Check headlights/tail lights, blinkers to see which is out, but I'm guessing it's your left blinker front or back. Whichever bulb you replace, it's best to replace the opposite side as well for even wear, so if your front left bulb is out you want to change the front right bulb too. If changing bulbs doesn't work, I can't help further on this one. Good luck
