it is possible...although i dunno if the tranny and other parts would be compatible unless you change them too... but i guess a 2.0 can do as long as it fits the engine bay..or you might have to remove some chassis parts for more room.. and also make sure that an 87 civic can hold all that weight so also take note of the suspension and the total weight of the chassis, or having a 2.0 engine wont do coz its gonna be too heavy...
