I have a 1989 Ford Festiva L with the 1.3 I have change the, fuel filter new, fuel pump done okay for a while now its still runs, fine just when I take off it hesitates go threw 1 2 3 gear 4 I lose

power like im not getting enough gas
push the gas pedal all the way down and
it doesnt do much have to down shift
then agaibn in fourth gear it does it again
thought there was another fuel filter on
tge frame but theres not I have no idea
what it could be maybe my carburetor

I wish I knew more carb stuff to help you out. Like you suggested, it might be a tuning thing. Could be a very small vacuum leak that doesn't bother it until you get up in revs - but if 3rd gear is spirited then this is unlikely. I would go to the facebook page, fordfestiva.com, or to the actual www.fordfestiva.com and ask there. Just copy and paste.
