Carb problems

Asked by Mx3kevin Oct 18, 2011 at 09:52 PM about the 1985 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I picked up my 85 f150 less than a year ago. It has a carbureted inline 6. 4.9 liter. I need to
find out where I can find a new cable going from the ignition to the thermostat spring for the
electric choke. Anybody know any websites that would have this power cord? I could also
use some good leads for a cheap carb. New or refurbished. Any help would be awesome.

LMC Trucks might have the cable, my 77 had the heat operated choke and I was able to purchase a rebuilt carb on summitracing.com for about $200
