what kind of gear ratio did a 1978 305 monte carlo had, and what kind of gears does a ss haves? can anyone help me out?

and what kind of gears does a ss has? can anyone help me out? if is different would the diferencial of a 1986 ss fit my 1978 monte carlo

Monties came with a 2.73 rear gear. The SS option gear was 3.23.

83-88 SS Monte's came factory with 3.73 in a 10 bolt rear, non SS models had 2.43 in a 10 bolt. As for fitment, yes it should bolt in.

83-85 has 3:42 gears 86-88 has 3:73 gears positive trk was NOT standard was on order or random And what year SS had 3:23 gears which I am looking for Y
