Toyota 4Runner Forum : “5 speed transmission stuck!”

transmissions syncros are gone.. time to rebuild it

i had this happem om my old civic it was stuck in nuetral and i couldnt push it or nothing... ur best bet is gettin to buddies one in the front and one in the back and have them rock ur 4runner back and forth as u try to push the shifter into first..sound weird but sometimes the clutch become unalgined with the tranny rocking back and forth gives it the chance to align and pop in gear will ur puching the shifter..goodluck
