If it is original,it is 12 volt,but will be a genarator not alternator.

thanks, so I will need to purchase a 12 volt battery, since it is original.

I ment to say if original it is 6 volt,but if it has been converted it will be 12 volt.You will need a 6 volt for factory genarator.
