how many built in 1997 with fixed roof?
The lowest trim of the 1997 Corvette came with a unremovable top (fixed).  How many were built?

1997 was a new generation year for Corvettes and only a coupe was offered.  There was no convertible model.  Only 9,572 coupes were built that year.  (source:http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/chevrolet-corvette/chevrolet-corvette-history-5.shtml)

Thanks for your answer, but it didn't answer my question.  I know there were no convertibles, only coupes.  But coupes came in two versions:
One with a fixed roof as the lowest trim (no targa roof and a smaller rear window, just like the later models for the Z06)
One with a targa roof (removable roof panel, not convertible).
So my question is:  How many of the "fixed" roof were built??????

Hello,

2078 were built with the base roof, 7213 had removable blue-tinted roof panels, and only 416 had the dual removable panels.  I hope that answers your question.  If not, check out this page; it has a lot of great stats:

Best of luck!

Thank you!  That is what I wanted to know.  I never heard of the split roof ones and the small production quantity, Wow! that is good info.  I guess I will concentrate in getting one of those split roof ones or a "base roof" model as you call it.  Thanks again for the info and the link!
