Question type: Maintenance & Repair

changed wiring harness, distributor, rotor and cap it will turn over but not start.  With the spark plug wires, where do you consider #1 on the distributor?

If you don't know where number 1 is then you put the distributor in wrong, because you have to mark it or at least pay attention to where it is pointing. Put the engine at TDC and take the cap off. Where the rotor is pointing is now #1
