i have a 1994 3500 chevy with 6,5 turbo diesel in it bought it but they took out 4x4 and pit 2 wheel drive in the trans is wrong 3000 rpm at 40 mph so it has been sitting every since truck is clean but what trans do i need to make it driveable

Call the parts department of the local chevy dealer and ask them which trans work in your vehicle.

transmission is in whats called limp in mode. its stuck in 2nd gear take it to a trans shop. their computer can find the problem.
