at what speed of impact should an airbag deploy

is there a minimum speed of impact that an airbag must deploy?  Why do the antilock brakes lockup?

This link will take you to GM's info page on airbags and airbag safety.

30 km/h is the speed when the airbag deploys for every car in north america, as far as I know... I would hate it if my airbag gets deployed if i hit a wall by accident while parking (wich will hopefully never happen)...

if you were to hit a solid object such as a brick wall. than the airbag would deploy at 15mph

Airbag speeds are correct.

ABS will lock up for only a fraction of a second before releasing then it repeats until you come off the pedal, this should be common. If it doesn't do that, then get it checked, the system is probably malfunctioning.

15 to 25 mph,abs has nothing to do with the air bag system.
