Info about your camaro
I have a 1970 that I am starting to work on. I have what seems to be about the same color as yours. What is the color name of yours. I have no idea what mine is called. Also what size rim and tire. I'm wondering if a 17x9.5 will fit on the rear. If you have any info on this it sure would help me out a bit.
Thanks,
Tj.
Its just a bright yellow I'm not sure the actual technical name of it. a 17 inch rim should fit but you will probably have too go with a lower profile tire I have 17x9's on my 89 camaro but the stock tire size would definitely not fit them. The 69's wheels are 16's i believe, wheels and the tires were on the car when i bought it. Sorry i dont know the actual name of the paint, it was painted in 2001...Also any tire and wheel shop should be able too tell ya if a certain wheel size will fit on your car it depends if you wanna keep the stock looking tire size or go with bigger wider tires for that badass look or if you want the big rim look you almost always gotta go with the low profile tire look.. it just depends on your preference and taste. But anymore most aftermarket rims start out in the 17 inch size category thats why you see most newer cars have bigger wheel sizes.. except of course for the small size coupes etc.. The 2010 camaro for instance has stock wheel sizes ranging from 19's too 21's...Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help too ya....Hope you have fun restoring or fixing up your 1970 camaro.
