Will the catalitic conv.being hollowed out cause the engines o/2 sensor to malfunction?

OH YA !!!! And you will start using lots of fuel with a significant-loss of power. Other repercussions can be ... but not limited too .. overheated engine burnt ,exhaust valves and an annoying CEL light that may drive you nuts
