99 Grand Prix GTP starts and stalls

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's a 3.8, approx 110K miles.  Check engine light came on this week.  Now car starts and stalls, won't stay running, even with gas.  Indicated it was mass air flow sensor.  Changed MAF and idle air control valve.  After switching IAC, started better, but still stalled.  Would appreciate any suggestions.  No other car problems since I've owned it (4 years).  Thanks

For anyone else having this problem, I just want you to know it was the fuel pump resistor. It can easily be bypassed. Beware though, it's very hard on your fuel pump, so do not continue to drive your car on bypass. However, it will get you back to driving so that you can grab parts, go to work, etc. Just relocate and replace resistor asap. Relocation kit is ~$50.

Thanks. It was the fuel pump resistor. Total pain to replace (above front right tire under battery pan if I remember correctly). Car will run as long as it's on bypass by bending one of the pins on appropriate relay, but will be running hella rich and wasting tons of fuel. For such a cheap fix, not one of 11 repair shops/dealerships I went to even knew what it was and all started with a $200 initial fee to drop the tank. Funny since resistor is not located anywhere near fuel pump!
