what is gt1 and gt2

they are trim packages from the dealer.

GT1 is the base model, and GT2 is what you would think that GT is. It makes it so people dont have to say "Oh, I have the base model". And it helps if your trying to sell the car, you can say its a GT. Thats what someone did to me

its more about the trim--though, it isnt as noticeable on the newer grand prix. the old one there was a gt1 without the fog lamps that looked like the se... which i hate!!

I know this is an old topic, but I own an '04 GT2. It comes standard with ABS, a front passenger seat on which the seat back completely folds down, and dual exhaust. My car also has a factory sunroof and factory chrome alloy wheels.

The GT1 is just a standard base model grand prix while the GT2 comes with more features such as buttons on the steering wheel and leather multi-colored interior

I have a gt2 and it has heads up display heated seats sunroof it's pretty much fully loaded with everything GTP would have but no supercharger or trip tronic.

The gt1 is the base model of the Grand Prix , that comes with cloth seats, no sunroof, no buttons on the steering wheel, and the steering wheel texture is different , and no ABS. The gt2 CAN come with leather seats , sunroof , controls on the steering wheel and ABS . And the gtp is fully loaded and has more features, plus the supercharger.
