what does it mean when the message on the radio say steering pump

check steering fluid level maybe

you have electric assist for power steering in the G6 (means there is no belt to the power steering pump from the engine). The system is detecting a fault - generally a sensor at the base of the steering column goes bad. have it looked at.


ok... if the steering pump is electric , then what do you do if you hear a noise when you the steering wheel?
