Heat or Air not working

Asked by Sikeena Jan 13, 2016 at 05:01 AM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix my air didn't work
all summer and my heat is not working this winter
of course this is a problem because I can defrost
my windows I had the blower motor replaced Control
Panel and the mechanic even worked with the
windshield wiper motor saying something about it
all being connected he didn't charge me anything
because he wasn't able to get it fixed you have my
car for like 3 days and said it was an electrical
problem which makes sense because my car will
randomly not start and all I have to do is just touch
my battery if anyone has had this issue can you
please assist me I don't really have the money  to
get an electrical diagnostic and get it repaired even
if you know of a place where I can get the
diagnostic done for like a flat rate everyone's like
$100 an hour $50 an hour and they can't tell me
how many hours I'm in desperate need it was 13
degrees yesterday

Sounds like the battery terminals need to be cleaned, or a bad battery cable, if you touch the battery for it to start. The blower motor, does it blow air or not? If not most of the time it is a blower motor resistor that go's bad.

Thank you so much...I will get my battery checked out... No it doesn't blow air or heat... I know you replace the blower motor and it didn't work so he ended up taking it out I will check to see if they checked the blower motor resistor... Thank you so much I just really can't afford to pay for an electric diagnosis everyone's like $100 an hour and they can't tell me how long it would be and then I still have to pay to get it fixed so I'm trying to see if I can weed out what it is or isn't thank you again I'll check those things have a good evening
