1997 PLYMOUTH BREEZE STARTS BUT BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AFTER A HALF HOUR THE BATTERY DIES. HAVE TO KEEP ON PUTTING THE CHARGER ON IT.

That's because you are probably running off the battery. From the sounds of it your alternator isn't putting out power. Check it out first along with the belt and pulley.

Had belt replaced and alternator checked out good. Did notice that when I put the charger on the neg post that it sparkes. Do I have a bigger problem?

those test machines suck, read in new alt. instructions they also say a test is inconclusive on Chrysler only, ask the parts guy to read new box instructions
