HMMMM- maybe I'm goin' to guru school here- 'cause I always thought that the light was miles sensitive- would be tripped when the car reached a certain mileage- which would induce the owner to take the car in to the dealer for a routine safety check- then the technician would turn the light off- what a revelation that the owner can turn it off!

Tom, You're a genius. Your reset tecnique worked just as you said on my daughter's 2002 Nissan Sentra. Thanks a Bunch. Claude1950

I did this method today on my Nissan Altima 2002. It worked like a charm! Thank you for posting. Follow the steps exactly from A position on ignition to B (do not turn car on!) and it works great. Awesome thanks again.

The solution actually works. Thank you Tom. Just reset that alert in my 2008 Altima Coupe.

Awesome! Thanks! I had to remove my passenger side front seat for a floorboard repair in my 2003 Nissan Altima. After I plugged the three connectors in to the seat, the airbag warning light was flashing, but this fixed the warning. Good to have the internet for things like this! Sure saves money!
