key stuck in ignition

I can't seem to get the key out of the ignition. i've tried jiggling the steering
wheel, jiggling the key, putting the car in gear or putting it in neutral. Help! it's
my husband's car and he's not here and I want to fix it before he comes
home!

Did you push the knob on the bottom left side of the steering wheel housing ? It locks the key
