Do I need to replace the positive battery cable on a 1998 Mercury Villager with the exact same cable.

I have never seen a cable on a car like this when I go to the auto parts store they do not have the same one

they make all different kinds it doesnt matter what kind you get as long as it works

You can clean a corroded battery cable with a wire brush. Is all the metal eaten away?
