Why would my 2005 Kia Spectra start increasing brake booster vacuum pressure when I am not touching the brakes and applying them?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is no rhyme or reason to when the brakes are going to suddenly start coming on by themselves. I can turn off the engine and sit or remove the vacuum line from the booster to release the pressure and everything is fine for no telling how long and then it applies the brakes with no warning.
