Why I cannot get my hub back on after replacing brakes.

Asked by Tammy Oct 15, 2015 at 11:32 AM about the 1984 Nissan Pickup

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husband is baffled he has replaced many brakes on different vehicles.
This one has really tried his nerves. It is a 1986 Nissan 4x4 truck. Has
replaced everything springs, pads,adjusters.... To no avail. He cannot get the
hub to go back on without hitting the brake adjuster assembly. Any help with
this issue is appreciated

Finally figured it out. The new brakes were a tad bit longer. He bent the ends that connect to the brake adjuster assembly up slightly. The adjuster went on and hub fit. Took it for a test drive. So far great working brakes.
