Whenever I hit unlock or lock with remote or door switch the tailgate glass releases. Why? Also tailgate refusing
lock.

Sounds like an issue with the locking mechanism for the rear tailgate. You'll have to remove the inner tailgate panel. It could be a linkage issue or it could be an electrical issue as well. DO you have a rubber cargo mat? If it is slid too far forward it can prevent the door from locking. Move it back and try again. If not the you won't really know till you or your mechanic diagnose the issue.
