1997 ford explorer rear hatch

okay so my back hatch door closes but the door ajar light is always on and so are the dome lights, it might go off ocasionally but when i stop or speed off it goes back on again like the back door isnt closing right. the beeping the door ajar signal makes drives me crazy and gives me head aches because it goes off almost every 10 seconds. iv already tried wd40-ing but it didnt do anything. any suggestions??

on my truck theres two hook points it has to hit or else the door ajar shows up, make sure both hook points are hooking make sure nothing is blocking your rear door, otherwise you must have faulty wiring im guessing. Nick(:
