engine shuts down after a few miles

The engine idles flawlessly when first cranked then shuts down after driving 5 to 10 miles. Any suggestions? where do I start?

Start with the fuel system. This is the most likely candidate. Make sure you're getting adequate and consistent fuel pressure from the tank all they way to the carburetor/fuel injectors. You could have a faulty fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injector or simply have to replace your fuel filter.

change fuel filter,check coil when they get hot most will not fire.i would also do tune up rotor cap plugs wires,but i say you do have a bad coil.
