1998 gmc jimmy it wont start in park have
to push the brake the shifter bitten and the
botten on the right side of the shifter to out
it in nutral to start it. Also when in park it
still wants to roll? I changed the shifter still
doing the same thing

Need to look at the neutral safety switch for the starting. On the other matter, is this an automatic trany or a standard?

How far does it roll when in park? It doesn't lock up? If this is the case then linkage is out of adjustment, would need to look at that, could explain the neutral safety switch.
