Why isn't my gas gauge working?
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The gas gauge in my 2000 Sonoma isn't working. While I'm driving it stays at the Full mark, when I'm at a stop it drops below Empty. What do I do? I haven't checked anything and honestly don't really know where anything is engine wise. I was going to check the fuses to see if maybe it would be a blown fuse but while I was searching online for the fuse location I found this forum. Hope someone else has had this problem and can tell me what to do (and hope it's cheap!)

Most probably the fuel sending unit is faulty. It is located inside the fuel tank attached to the fuel pump. Sorry it isn't a cheap fix.
