Ford Bantam 2006 1.6i - Does not wanna start. It is as if the ignition shorts out, if you move the key around it wanna start but does not?

It could be that your key is wearing down? We've had to have new keys cut twice.

It sounds like the Transceiver or Key reader. Check also the wiring harness plug to the key reader. To gain access to this item . remove the covers from the steering column , the key reader will be mounted on the ignition lock. On your key ring with the ignition key, do you have any other vehicle keys on the ring or magnetic devices. Remove these and try again.
