I have a 1989 cutlass cierra 2.8 when the engine get warm the engine stalls out

I had the same problem, It was the crank position sensor. I replaced it and have had no issues. Upon inspection the original sensor had cracks on it which would cause it to send incorrect signals to the ecu thus cutting off the fuel pump.

oh and remove the battery cable for a couple of seconds or remove the fuse to the ECM (15A BLUE FUSE) and the ENG CTRL (10A RED FUSE) in the fuse panel to clear the computer and relearn the new sensor.
