Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 gmc k1500 with 5.7 vortec motor. when I am at steady cruising speed (say 70) and gently let off the accelerator it bucks one time. I was told on here it was my pinion so I just replace my 10 bolt with a 9.5 14 bolt my ujoints are new. IT still does it... It only does it if I let off slowly and only on deceleration. No bucking or slipping at any other time I have cleaned the MAF the IAC it shifts good it down shifts good. No check engine light on no engine code.

Still doing it. I just put a new distributor in it. its a drive line CLUNK when I let off and it happens at just the point where there is no more power applied. It bucks/clunks once and that it till I let off again. Nobody has this issue but me?

I have a '99 Yukon with the 5.7, same problem, but mine only happens as I crest a hill and back off the throttle. I get one 'buck' with the tach showing an instantaneous drop of RPMs typically from 1800 to 1400, and then it is fine. The buck lasts at most a half-second.
