1982 CJ5 starts and idles fines, once put into gear it randomly dies. It will not restart after it dies. Any advice/info is appreciated. Thanks

Could this be the float valve in the carburetor? or something more sinister? I haven't had
a lot of automotive repair experience but I'm a quick study. Any helpful advice is much
appreciated. Thanks

Clean carburetor with a can of carburetor cleaner spray use whole can and replace fuel filter and check air filter.
