My buddies 1992 caddy deville will not restart after running a while. Has to wait for it to cool down sometimes an hour.then she fires right up....????

Back "in the day" we used to advance the timing trying to get more power out of an engine. When the engine was hot and did not want to restart, it often indicated that the timing had been advanced to much.
