i got a cadillac catera 1998 it only fires if you turn the key three times an if you turn the key three times it will krank for ten seconds then shut off what could be the problem i put a used cam sensor a used crank sencor it does the same thing had a lock smith make sure the key was still programed it still was and he said security was fine what can it be

Why would you put a used cam and crank sensor in? I would start with replacing those parts with NEW factory parts that are known to be good. I suspect a problem with your security system, but perhaps on the car side, not on the key side. You will need a mechanic to check this out for you.
