brake fluid level and filler cap

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Cap of brake fluid chamberis a diaphragm and a two wire connection. How do your use the diaphagm to check on fluid leved, and what do the two wires connct to-- Is there a warning light somewhere is level gets too low? Any information on this setup would be appreciated, especially what level to keep fluid in the chamber. Thank you very much. F L Tabrah Honolulu

You can fill the chamber up as full as you can get it to leave enough room to install cap and diaphragm. Yes the wires go to a switch that gives an indication of low brake fluid level.

Why does this have condensation on oil filler cap 3 answers

This 06 cobalt has condensation on the oil filler cap and a white residue on the dipstick. Still runs ok just wondering what would cause this? The coolant is still full and nothing is leaking!

its kinda hard to add fluid where you pull the dipstick out. i dont see a cap like the oil filler.
