u dont and dont destroy the car its worth a good amount if its the actual grand national. get a gps with the speed thing on it. tells u ur speed takes quarter mile times. and ur g-forces

Caspers Electronics sells a chip that will show speed up to 199 MPH ont he digital dash. http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/index.php?cPath=5_6_33 If that does not work look under GN-86/87-Dash Repair. HTH MJH

maybe it was damaged or rather it's not working. try to check it's wires, maybe it's not properly attached to the engine. kurt Buick Grand National Parts seller
