Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Have a 53 focus 1.8 zetec. Personally I think it a piece of crap. Have had nothing but problems with it. the latest one is a bit confusing. for me any way. Whilst driving along (doesn't matter what speed) the engine management light comes on, also the speedo drop to "0" the revs drop to "0" and the temp guage drops to "0" also. what is it telling me?
