Not much to do here. It's a diesel so it's not really a powerhouse in terms of speed -- it excels in torque and pulling power.

With it being a diesel theres not much that can be done really.I think you could try possible ECU mods or possible turbo mods,possible tuning / servicing work to get the car to its optimum performance.These Rover L-series diesel engines were never built for speed,but again are pretty quick especially if its the intercooled model.What the car does'nt have speed wise it makes up for in terms of torque and pulling power and overall reliabilty and being extremely bullet proof.Its even got better torque then some of the petrol K-series engines. Overall A Superb Engine.
