There is a sticker inside your glovebox that has the cargo weight rating. It is also described in your manual. The rating varies depending on options.

depending on truck style (reg. cab, x-cab, short box, long box) the range is anywhere from 1400-1800 lbs- if you tell me the body style and box size I can get more specific- I hope this helps.

Well, it's a half ton truck, so I would keep it in the 1,000 lb vacinity. Over filling it can be dangerous to the safe handling while driving, and hard on the suspension components like shocks, springs, etc.
